Technip wins North Amethyst EPIC contract

PARIS -- Husky Oil Operations has awarded a $299-million contract to Technip for engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPIC) on the White Rose oil field's North Amethyst Satellite.
The contract includes engineering, fabrication, and installation of 23.7 km (14.7 mi) of flexible flowlines and 5.4 km (3.3 mi) of umbilicals, the installation of manifolds, and associated pipe work.
Technip's operating center in St. John's, Canada, will execute the contract. The flowlines will be manufactured at one of the group's flexible pipe plants, in Le Trait, France. The umbilicals will be manufactured at one of the group's umbilical plants, in Newcastle, UK. Offshore installation is scheduled for 2009, using Technip's vesselsDeep Pioneer and Wellservicer.
