Technip scores OYO field contract

Nigerian Agip Exploration has awarded Technip a $119 million turnkey contract for the development of the OYO oil field in block OML 120/121, offshore Nigeria.

PARIS -- Nigerian Agip Exploration has awarded Technip a $119 million turnkey contract for the development of the OYO oil field in block OML 120/121, offshore Nigeria.

The contract includes the engineering, fabrication, and installation of 20 km (12 mi) of flexible production, water injection, and gas injection flowlines and risers. It also includes the installation of nearly 15 km (9.3 mi) of umbilicals supplied by the client.

Technip's operating center in Paris, France, will execute the contract. The flexible flowines and risers will be fabricated by Technip's Le Trait plant in France, one of the group's flexible pipe production facilities.

The offshore installation is scheduled for the summer of 2009 and will be carried out by Technip's pipelay and construction vesselConstructor.
