Petrobras has awarded Aker Kvaerner a $12 million contract for the supply of subsea trees offshore Brazil.

OSLO -- Petrobras has awarded Aker Kvaerner a $12 million contract for the supply of subsea trees offshore Brazil.

The scope of work comprises three mudline dual-bore christmas trees designed to 250 m (820 ft) water depth, with associated tools. The trees will be deployed in the Peroá Phase II field in Espírito Santo basin.

The engineering phase of the contract starts immediately in Houston. Deliveries will be completed from Aker Kvaerner's facility in Curitiba, Brazil, for delivery in the next 12 months.
