Aker wins Cosmos South subsea contract

Storm Ventures International (Barbados) has awarded Aker Solutions a contract to supply a subsea production system to the Cosmos South development offshore Tunisia.

OSLO -- Storm Ventures International (Barbados) has awarded Aker Solutions a contract to supply a subsea production system to the Cosmos South development offshore Tunisia.

Scope of supply for the contract is three subsea trees, subsea control systems, and tie-in and connection systems. The subsea production system will be installed in approximately 100 m (328 ft) water depth in the Gulf of Hammermet offshore Tunisia.

The subsea trees will be manufactured at Tranby, Norway, and subsea controls in Aberdeen, UK. First deliveries are scheduled for 2Q 2009.
