Pazflor gets subsea processing, production from FMC

HOUSTON –FMC Technologies has contracted to supply $980 million in deepwater subsea processing and production systems to Total Exploration & Production Angola for the Pazflor project in block 17 offshore Angola.

FMC will supply three gas-liquid separation systems, the first such installations offshore West Africa, and 49 subsea trees and wellhead systems, controls, umbilical distribution, gas export and flowline connection, ROV tooling, and support for installation and startup. Delivery is scheduled to begin in 2009 and cover several years.

Pazflor targets development in water depths between 2,000 ft (600 m) and 4,000 ft (1,200 m). The overall development as now planned consists of 49 subsea wells connected via subsea production lines, injection lines, and risers to a spread moored FPSO.
