Total, Expro agree subsea intervention terms

ABERDEEN, UK – Total E&P UK has signed a long-term frame agreement with Expro concerning subsea well intervention services.

Among these is AX-S, remotely operated from a monohull vessel, for interventions on subsea wells at any depths down to 10,000 ft (3,048 m).

Expro recently completed commissioning of the deployment system in 2,450 m (8,038 ft) water depth in a trench north of Shetland.

Preparations are under way for final system commissioning in a Norwegian test well prior to deployment in the first commercial application.
