Aker to add to Vilje South subsea systems for Statoil

Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions a NOK 225-million ($38-million) contract for engineering, procurement, and construction of a subsea production system for Vilje South on the Norwegian continental shelf.

LYSAKER, Norway – Statoil has awarded Aker Solutions a NOK 225-million ($38-million) contract for engineering, procurement, and construction of a subsea production system for Vilje South on the Norwegian continental shelf.
Aker will supply a subsea tree, satellite production flowbase and protection structure, subsea production controls, well, remote connections and a 150-m (492 ft) long static umbilical. Final deliveries are scheduled for 2Q 2013.
Vilje South is a fasttrack oil field in the middle part of the North Sea, about 20 km (12 mi) northeast of Alvheim and just north of the Heimdal field in a water depth of approximately 120 m (395 ft).
