Statoil books ROVs for Norway rigs

STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has contracted Subsea 7’s i-Tech division to provide ROV services offshore Norway in 2012.
The i-Tech division will supply two newbuild Centurion QX work class and two existing Tiger observation class ROVs for deployment from China Oilfield Services Ltd’s Innovator and Promoter rigs, both currently under construction in China.
Each ROV services contract is for five years with three one-year extension options. Offshore work will start when the new rigs arrive in the Norwegian sector.
