Petrobras contracts McDermott for subsea installations

Petrobras has contracted McDermott International for the use of the subsea construction vessel Agile to install flexible pipelines and umbilicals in waters to 2,000 m (6,562 ft) deep offshore Brazil.

HOUSTON – Petrobras has contracted McDermott International for the use of the subsea construction vessel Agile to install flexible pipelines and umbilicals in waters to 2,000 m (6,562 ft) deep offshore Brazil. The contract runs for five years.

Work is expected to begin at the end of Q 2011, with McDermott's dedicated subsea engineering team mobilizing to Macae in Brazil in the coming months for the duration of the project.
