Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK – Shell has contracted Bibby Offshore for engineering and subsea construction activities at the Gannet G field in the UK central North Sea.
Bibby will deploy its multi-purpose dive support and offshore construction vesselBibby Polaris for the program, scheduled for early next year.
The vessel has a 1,000-metric ton (1,202-ton) basket carousel to lay flexible pipe systems in water depths of up to 9.5 m (31 ft).
A third-party contractor will perform trenching after Bibby has completed the initial work scope.
