STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has contracted C-Kore Systems to supply subsea electrical monitoring tools.
These will assess insulation resistance and continuity of a new control umbilical during its installation at a field near Bergen in the northern Norwegian North Sea.
C-Kore’s tools are said to allow operators and installation contractors to monitor the health of electrical equipment and interconnections throughout the installation process, even when traditional monitoring equipment must be removed.
