Strainstall to monitor Kaombo moorings

COWES, UK – Bluewater Energy Services has commissioned monitoring equipment from Strainstall for Total’s deepwater Kaombo project offshore Angola.

The CTMS system will monitor the integrity of the mooring chains forKaombo’s two FPSOs.

Strainstall’s package will include fully sealed sensors, designed to operate for more than 20 years. The system is designed to interface directly with monitoring and control systems onboard the FPSOs, assessing mooring loads to ensure they are not overloaded and remain within safe limits.
