NEW ORLEANS– HIMA is showcasing its HIPPS HIMatrix F35 012 programmable controller at the Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition.
The company says this is one of the first safety-related programmable controllers suitable for deepwater application (up to SIL 3).
The modular structure can operate in depths up to 4,000 m (13,123 ft) and in temperatures from -20°C (-4°F) to 60°C (140°F) . It is shock and vibration resistant, and is offers low power consumption.
Examples of applications would be high-pressure monitoring and pressure isolation of pipelines.
