Subsea 7 booked for Otway pipe duty

Subsea 7 to handle installations and tie-ins for the Otway development off southeast Australia.

(Asia-Pacific) - Allseas has contracted Subsea 7 for subsea installations associated with Woodside's Otway gas project in the Bass Straits.

Under the $6.8 million contract, Subsea 7 will install 20-in. duplex and 4-in. MEG tie-in spools and a PCM cable.

It will also set into place stabilization mattresses on the pipeline from the Thylacine offshore platform to the shore.

Work will start early in the New Year, using the company's support vesselRockwater 2.
