SAN ANTONIO, Texas – SAF 3007 is the latest addition to the growing duplex family of Alleima, a duplex stainless steel grade developed for subsea umbilicals.
The new tube is said to offer a safe, lighter, stronger and more efficient alternative to SAF 2507, the current standard.
Alleima says that the SAF 3007 product has been developed specifically for the offshore oil and gas industry and has been designed to perform in harsh deepwater environments. It is said to build upon the company’s SAF 2507 (UNS S32750) product.
The company premiered the SAF 3007 tube at the Subsea Tieback Forum & Exhibition currently being held in San Antonio, Texas.
