WATERLOO, Canada Voyis has sold its first subsea inspection equipment for use offshore Brazil to DOF Brazil.

DOF has acquired the company’s Insight Micro laser scanners and still cameras. According to Voyis, the optical sensor will allow the company to develop 3D models of subsea facilities in real time to reduce risk and provide an accurate record of the structures’ current conditions.

Additionally, it will allow DOF to capture high-resolution still images, corrected in real time for true color and light leveling.

The Insight Micro laser scanner system can be deployed for field mapping, pre-lay routes, post-lay pipeline inspection, as-built surveys, metrologies and others. Voyis sensors integrate with the survey software provided by sister company, EIVA, to provide results in real time.
