    EDG awarded Talos' Ram Powell upgrades for two GoM subsea tiebacks

    EDG has recently been awarded a topside modification contract by Talos Energy for the Ram Powell platform to accommodate the Venice and Lime Rock subsea tiebacks in the US Gulf of Mexico.

    METAIRIE, Louisiana — EDG has recently been awarded a topside modification contract by Talos Energy for the Ram Powell platform to accommodate the Venice and Lime Rock subsea tiebacks in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

    EDG will be responsible for the engineering and design of the platform additions, including all equipment integration, piping, structural, instrumentation, and electrical additions and modifications.

    Talos Energy is the joint lessor and operator of 40,000-plus acres offshore Jefferson County, Texas, which it will be using for CCS project development (Bayou Bend CCS). Talos will have facilities along the beach to boost the CO2 offshore in the future and will incorporate environmental and community investments in areas where its projects are established.
