HOUSTON – Wintershall Dea Norge has awarded TechnipFMC with an integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI) contract for the Maria field revitalization project in the Norwegian Sea.
The development is designed to boost production, via the tie-in of an additional six-slot template structure. Both existing Maria templates, also installed by TechnipFMC, started service in 2017.
TechnipFMC will supply subsea trees, spools, jumpers, and flexible pipes.
Jonathan Landes, President—Subsea, said: “Through early engagement, we optimized the field layout and maximized the benefits of integrated project execution. Our involvement helped reduce the carbon footprint of the revitalization project by modifying existing infrastructure, eliminating the need for an additional 4,000 m (13,123 ft) of pipe.”
