BRISTOL, UK – Rovco has won a contract to perform subsea work on the Beatrice wind farm offshore Scotland.

Managed from its recently established base in Edinburgh, the company will carry out a campaign of inspection and survey work across nominated subsea jacket locations on the wind farm, including export and inter-array cables.

The project will use the DP-II vessel Glomar Wave to deploy a WROV solution for asset and cable depth of burial inspections along with a hydrographic survey vessel from Moray First Marine Ltd, to support Rovco’s team while performing multibeam and scour assessment surveys.

The 588-MW Beatrice wind farm is about 13.5 km (8.4 mi) off the Caithness coast in the Outer Moray Firth. It became fully operational in the summer of 2019.

Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd. is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (40%), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (35%), and Red Rock Power Ltd. (25%).
