BILLINGHAM, UK – Tracerco has won a contract to verify the integrity of multiple platform members in the Caribbean Sea.
The company’s Diagnostics Flooded Member Inspection, deployed from an ROV, will identify the presence of flooding in multiple vertical, horizontal and angled members, without the need to remove any marine growth or specialist coatings, the company claimed.
During the 25-day inspection program, Tracerco subsea engineers will relay an immediate assessment of the degree of flooding for each member surveyed, and then prepare a full report on platform member integrity at the end of the project.
The operator will use this data to support any remedial work that might be needed for the platform structures.
