    Aker BP finds gas at Storjo offshore mid-Norway

    LYSAKER, Norway — Aker BP has proven gas in various geological formations in its Storjo exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

    The location is in production license 261, close to the company’s operated Skarv field complex.

    Aker BP estimates recoverable volumes in the range 25 MMboe to 80 MMboe. The company and partner Wintershall Dea Norge plan delineation of the discovery in 2023.
