The Shelf Drilling Fortress offshore jackup drilling unit was built in 2014 and features a Friede & Goldman JU-3000N design.
Shelf Drilling (North Sea) has secured a one firm-well contract for the Shelf Drilling Fortress jackup in UK waters.
The estimated duration is about three months, with a total value close to $12 million. Operations should start in late August or early September.
Offshore Egypt, parent company Shelf Drilling has agreed to a one-year extension with the client for the Rig 141 jackup in the Gulf of Suez for about $23 million.
Upon completion, the rig should become available for hire in February 2027.
