Operators book Transocean rigs for campaigns offshore Australia, Norway

Transocean has secured new work for two of its harsh environment semis with a combined value of about $113 million.

STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland  Transocean has secured new work for two of its harsh environment semis with a combined value of about $113 million.

An unnamed independent has taken Transocean Endurance on a 240-day, multi-well P&A contract offshore Australia, set to start in January 2024.

There are options to keep the rig in Australia through fourth-quarter 2025.

Wintershall DEA has exercised a one-well option in the Norwegian sector for Transocean Norge, starting in May, ahead of the existing firm term of 60 days.
