Wanax expands platform supply vessel fleet

S.D. Standard Drilling subsidiary Wanax is acquiring the UT 776 CD platform supply vessels E.R. Athina and E.R. Georgina for $22.2 million.

LIMASOL, Cyprus – S.D. Standard Drilling subsidiary Wanax is acquiring the UT 776 CD platform supply vessels (PSVs) E.R. Athina and E.R. Georgina for $22.2 million.

Both were built at the STX Brevik shipyard complex in Norway in 2009-2010, and feature 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft) of deck space.

Currently the vessels are working in the UK North Sea, with theE.R. Georgina on contract to Maersk Oil until July 2018, and the E.R. Athina working in the spot market.

Following the acquisition, the group will have ownership interests in five large and 13 mid-size PSVs.

Fletcher Shipping will be act as technical and commercial manager for the vessels.
