Syarikat Borcos Shipping of Malaysia has signed a contract with Strategic Marine for three newbuild 40-m (131-ft) offshore utility vessels hulls.

HENDERSON, Western Australia -- Syarikat Borcos Shipping of Malaysia has signed a contract with Strategic Marine for three newbuild 40-m (131-ft) offshore utility vessels hulls. This order brings the number of Strategic vessels sold to Syarikat Borcos to nine.
The vessels will be built in Strategic Marine's Singapore facility, with prefabrication at the Australian Marine Complex in Western Australian. The final hull is scheduled for delivery in Aug. 2008.
Each vessel will be able to reach speeds in excess of 28 knots. They will seat up to 80 and have accommodations for 10.
