ROTTERDAM, Netherlands -- Sealift's first heavy transport vessel, MV Sealift Transporter, undocked March 21 to undergo final modifications.

On March 21, 2007, the MVSealift Transporter floated out of Cosco's drydock in Nantong, China, after being fitted with a new midship section.

"All activities with regard to the conversion into a dedicated heavy transport vessel are on schedule," says Bert Bekker CEO of Sealift Management.

"In order to meet the schedule and to guarantee that all conversion work will be carried out according to our high standard, we have experienced and skilled heavy transport professionals at the yard, who will assist the site team at the Cosco yard," Bert Bekker.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in May 2007.
