Seadrill accepts West Orion

Offshore staff

SINGAPORE -- Seadrill has taken delivery of the semisubmersible drilling rig West Orionfrom Jurong Shipyard. The rig is scheduled to begin operations at the end of July on a six-year agreement with Petrobras for work offshore Brazil.

TheWest Orionis a sixth-generation ultra deepwater semisubmersible with dynamic positioning and water depth capacity of 3,000 m (9,842 ft).
