BREDA, the Netherlands -- Dockwise has won 12 contracts for heavy marine transport and engineering projects with a combined value of nearly $37 million.
Among the awards, the company is due to transport imminently the accommodation/work bargeAcergy Antares from Singapore to Port Gentil, Gabon.
Keppel Fels has selected Dockwise as its contractor of choice for the transport, loading, and discharge of a float-over barge which includes a living quarters module and a topside. The cargo, with a total weight of over 10,000 metric tons (11,023 tons), should sail out on theSwan during the second half of 2011.
Six short-term transport assignments for the remainder of this year include the jackup rigsSea Tower, Rowan EXL 2, KS Endeavor, and Atwood Beacon, to various locations around the world.
Late this year and into 2011, the company will transport theEl Qaher 1 & 2 BMC 375 Pacific Class jackups from Singapore to Alexandria for Egyptian Offshore Drilling.
