STX Norway wins triple newbuild contract

A foreign client has contracted STX Norway Offshore to build three 86-m (282-ft) purpose vessels for salvage, rescue, and towing operations including fire fighting and pollution prevention.

OSLO -- A foreign client has contracted STX Norway Offshore to build three 86-m (282-ft) purpose vessels for salvage, rescue, and towing operations including fire fighting and pollution prevention.

STX Europe in Romania will build the hull with outfitting by the company’s Brattvaag, Norway yard.

Deliveries are scheduled for 4Q 2011, 2Q 2012, and 3Q 2012.
