LIMASSOL, Cyprus -- SeaBird Exploration has been awarded a $2.8-million contract for the Munin Explorer to operate as a source vessel in Mexico, beginning in December.
The company has also received a Letter of Award for a 1,000-km (621-mi) 2D survey in North Java using the Northern Explorer. A consortium has also awarded SeaBird a contract for a 13,200-km (8,202-mi) 2D acquisition in Indonesia using the same vessel. This contract carries options to extend the survey to 20,612 km (12,808 mi).
Seabird has received a Letter of Award for the Aquila Explorer to conduct a 3,800-km (2,361-mi) 2D survey in Western Australia. The vessel will then mobilize for a 4,500-km (2,796-mi) 2D acquisition in the Bremer basin, under a separate contract. The company has received a Letter of Intent for a further 2,200-km (1,367-mi) 2D survey in Australia, occupying the vessel until end February 2010.
