Tidewater purchases multi-purpose ROV Aquanos Enabler

Tidewater has acquired the multi-purpose ROV and light construction vessel Aquanos Enabler from Aquanos.

NEW ORLEANS -- Tidewater has acquired the multi-purpose ROV and light construction vessel AquanosEnabler from Aquanos. The vessel is currently under construction at STX Europe shipyard in Brevik, Norway.

The 311-ft (95-m), diesel electric vessel is scheduled for delivery in January 2010. It is equipped with a 100-ton (91-metric ton) active heave compensating crane, accommodations for 69 persons, firefighting equipment (Fifi I), DP-2, a moonpool, and a helideck.
