Newbuild Maersk Discoverer to work offshore Australia

SINGAPORE -- Keppel FELS has delivered the Maersk Discoverer, the second of three DSS 21 deepwater rigs, to Maersk Drilling. Woodside Energy has contracted the vessel for three years offshore Australia.

DSS Series rigs are capable of drilling up to 10,000-m (30,000-ft) wells in water depths of 3,000 m (10,000 ft). The rigs feature a dynamic positioning system, and can attach to a pre-laid mooring system.
