Aker Kværner secures $130-million drilling equipment contract

LYSAKER, Norway -- Aker Kværner has been awarded a $130-million drilling equipment contract by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd, Korea, for an ultra deepwater drillship.

Aker Kværner is to deliver a complete drilling equipment package including installation and commissioning supervision. The contracts will be executed by Aker Kværner MH in Kristiansand, Norway.

The drillship is scheduled for delivery 3Q 2011.
