LIMASSOL, Cyprus -- Chevron Offshore (Thailand) has awarded Remedial Offshore a multi-year contract to provide an elevating support vessel (ESV) for operations in the Gulf of Thailand. Chevron will use the vessel to support implementation of brownfield optimization initiatives.

The two-year contract, which has an initial 24-month term and gives Chevron the option for a one-year extension, will begin between Mar. 31 and May 31, 2009. The Remedial vessel will also provide well intervention and offshore support services.

"We're proud Chevron recognizes the value of our innovative ESV design,"" says Richard Altman, Remedial CEO. ""These unique self-propelled jackups are purpose-built for well intervention and remedial work, so the technology is ideally suited to Chevron's needs.""

ESV well intervention units are designed for service in mature oil and gas fields located in water depths to 325 ft (100 m).
