HOUSTON –Ranger Offshore has added the DSV Lewek Toucan to its fleet.

The vessel is a DP-2 multi-purpose offshore support vessel built in 2006. It is 290 ft (88 m) long with a 120-ton active heave compensated crane, mooonpool, helideck, 1,000-ton cargo deck, and accommodations for 100 crew.

It will be outfitted with Ranger’s Hoss 1 DNV Class 12-man saturation diving system with hyperbaric rescue chamber.

Ranger has a long-term agreement with EMAS to use the vessel for subsea construction support in the Gulf of Mexico. It will start this month on multiple 36-in. pipeline tie-ins at various water depths.
