SINGAPORE – AET has taken delivery of Eagle Campos, the first of three Suezmax DP-2 shuttle tankers built for long-term charter offshore Brazil to Shell subsidiary Brazil Shipping I Ltd.
The Eagle Campos will join the Eagle Pilar in Brazilian waters, which AET already operates for Shell.
The two sister vessels, both under construction at the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, are due to be delivered later this year.
The 153,000-dwt, DNV-classed Eagle Campos was built to Shell’s technical requirements for DP-2 shuttle tankers in Brazil, and is said to provide full compliance with IMO NOx Tier 3 and SOx emission requirements.
It is equipped with electrical-driven variable frequency drive cargo pumps and high-power thrusters for improved fuel efficiency, and energy-saving equipment such as the Hi Pre-Swirl Duct and Rudder Bulb for propulsion.
