MONACOSBM Offshore has issued updates on its FPSO construction programs in its latest results statement.

The Liza Unity arrived in Guyana on Oct. 25, with the Liza Phase 2 project on schedule for first oil in 2022.

Topsides module lifting has started in China for the FPSO Sepetiba. The project has been impacted by supply chain issues and challenges at the yard, SBM said, but a mitigation plan is in place to help deliver first oil in 2023.

The Fast4Ward MPF hull for the FPSO Prosperity, also destined for the Stabroek block offshore Guyana, is in dry dock in Singapore with topsides fabrication progressing in line with the schedule.

Topsides construction has started in Brazil for the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré: first oil is targeted for the second half of 2024.

This summer, first steel was cut for the FPSO Alexandre de Gusmão Fast4Ward MPF hull construction. In this case, the project is on course for first oil in 2025.

SBM has now ordered six MPF hulls, with three delivered to ongoing projects and a further under construction, of which two have been allocated to FPSO projects. The other is supporting tendering activities.

Finally, construction is progressing on the re-designed third-stage flash compression system for the FPSO Liza Destiny in operation at the Liza field offshore Guyana.

As for ongoing difficulties related to COVID-19, the general operating environment appears to be improving in countries where vaccination campaigns are progressing, SBM said. And as countries ease their entry restrictions and quarantine period, there has been a positive impact on fatigue management and associated operational risk, the company added.
