    BERGEN, Norway – Shearwater GeoServices has sold the seismic vessel Western Trident.

    It has been delivered to Turkey for recycling, in compliance with EU regulations and the 2009 Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.

    Late last year the company also sold the CGG Alize for a new role outside the seismic industry.

    Shearwater balanced these departures through its recent acquisition of six modern seismic vessels, reducing the average age of its fleet.
