Three Solstad vessels secure contracts

Solstad Offshore ASA has won four contracts for three of its subsea construction vessels.

SKUDENESHAVN, Norway Solstad Offshore ASA has won four contracts for three of its subsea construction vessels (CSV).

The Normand Energy will support a project for an unnamed client in the Pacific Ocean with an estimated duration of five months, including mobilization and de-mobilization. The contract is scheduled to start next month.

The Far Samson has secured a contract for support off cable lay operations. This agreement is firm for 90 days with options for the remainder of 2021. It is expected to start in April/May 2021.

The Normand Jarstein has secured a contract with an unnamed Norwegian subsea contractor for a project in West Africa. It is expected to start this month for a duration of two months firm plus one-month option. In addition, the Normand Jarstein has won a contract with a UK-based oil company for a duration of about two months firm. It is expected to start in the second half of May 2021.

The two contracts for the CSV Normand Jarstein will be performed ahead of its contract with Ørsted at the Hornsea 2 wind farm. As such the vessel will be fully used through 2021.
