STAVANGER, Norway – ConocoPhillips Skandinavia has contracted Prosafe to provide accommodation support at the Ekofisk field center in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

The program, which is related to the subsea tie-in of the Tommeliten Alpha field facilities, is due to start in spring 2022, and has a 90-day firm duration.

Prosafe will allocate either the Safe Boreas or Safe Zephyrus for the campaign.

The contract value, excluding a 60-day option period, is around $13.6 million, with cancellation charges if the Norwegian authorities do not approve the project’s plan for development and operation.

Tommeliten Alpha, discovered in 1977, is 25 km (15.5 mi) southwest of Ekofisk in around 75 m (246 ft) of water. The reservoir contains gas-condensate fluid and lies at a subsurface depth of close to 3,000 m (9,842 ft).
