Subsea Micropiles has installed a drilled and grouted micropile anchor solution for Orkney Harbour Authority in northern Scotland.
The micropiling technology for the offshore sector is designed to be performed using smaller vessels and remote seabed drilling systems.
Other benefits claimed by the company are more reliable results from large construction jobs, lower cost, reduced environmental impact and a high local content.
Its service is said to suit fixed and floating offshore wind structures, with foundation designs capable of being adapted for high load regimes in wide-ranging of soil conditions.
