Cadeler awarded first wind turbines T&I work offshore Poland

Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna have contracted Cadeler to transport and install 14-MW wind turbines supplied for the Baltica 2 wind farm development offshore Poland.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark — Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna have contracted Cadeler to transport and install 14-MW wind turbines supplied for the Baltica 2 wind farm development offshore Poland.

This will provide 1.5-GW generating capacity by the end of 2027. It is also Cadeler’s first contract in the Polish offshore wind sector.

Baltica 2 will be located in the Baltic Sea between Łeba and Ustka, with a distance of at least 25 km from the closest wind turbines to the shore.

Associated onshore infrastructure for the development will be in Choczewo commune.
