OSLO, Norway — Bakker Sliedrecht has commissioned Glamox to supply marine LED lighting for the RWE-owned Dogger Bank Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK southern North Sea.
Glamox will provide 800 marine-certified LED luminaires for the foundation platforms supporting 100 x 14 MW wind turbines 195 km offshore northeast England in 20-30 m water depth.
The foundation structures, to be pre-fitted with the luminaires, will be installed from 2024, with the development due to be completed and generating power in 2026.
The consignment will include floodlights and indoor and seawater-resistant outdoor linear LED luminaires with a life of 100,000 hours and designed to withstand harsh weather conditions.
