NORTH SHIELDS, UK — Ventus Energy will provide senior authorized persons to provide electrical engineering support for the Dogger Bank wind farm in the southern UK North Sea.
Under the three-year contract Ventus will make eight engineers available at all times, each responding to site for 400-kV operations. Although the terms primarily cover emergency works, Ventus specialists also will be available for planned operations.
Dogger Bank is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (40%), Equinor (40%) and Vårgrønn (20%). SSE Renewables operates the development and construction phase with Equinor taking over on completion for the development’s anticipated lifespan of about 35 years.
