GLASGOW, UK — Geoquip Marine is preparing for a geotechnical survey over the location of the proposed 3-GW MarramWind floating wind farm development in the UK central North Sea.
The joint venture developers ScottishPower and Shell have commissioned Geoquip to compile soil and geotechnical data to support feasibility studies.
These include design and installation assessments of various components such as anchors for the floating platforms, fixed foundations for the offshore substation, and inter-array cable systems.
Geoquip’s Seehorn vessel will continue the campaign into 2024 when one of the company’s Geoquip Marine’s integrated geotechnical survey vessels will start downhole work.
