KLAZIENAVEEN, the Netherlands — JDR Cables has contracted Vos Prodect to supply the cable hang-off systems for the Arcadis Ost 1 wind farm in the German sector of the Baltic Sea.
The 257-MW project, developed by Parkwind Os, is situated 19 km from the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea.
Vos Prodect’s sealed hang-off systems, to be delivered by the end of this year, will secure JDR’s inter-array submarine power cables to the top of the monopile and offshore substation.
According to the company, the average installation time for the system’s temporary hang-off clamps is about 45 minutes.
Arcadis Ost 1 should start operations by late 2023.
