Thistle Wind Partners secure rights to develop two offshore wind projects

Belgium — Thistle Wind Partners, a partnership between DEME Concessions, Qair and Aspiravi, has successfully secured the rights to develop two offshore wind projects under the Scotwind leasing round after finalizing the option to lease agreements with Crown Estate Scotland, according to a recent DEME news release.

Cluaran Deas Ear is a 1-GW fixed foundation project located about 44 km to the east of Aberdeen in the Moray Firth, and Cluaran Ear-Thuath is a 1-GW floating foundation project located about 35 km to the east of the Orkney Islands.

"The two projects present clear development synergies in view of best utilizing the partners’ capabilities," DEME stated in the release.
