ABERDEEN, UK – The Oil and Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) has entered a new five-year partnership with AIRTO (Association of Innovation, Research and Technology Organisations).

The aims are to strengthen collaboration in innovation, research, and technology to support the UK’s Industrial Strategy and the transition toward net zero emissions.

AIRTO, the main membership organisation for the UK’s Innovation, Research and Technology (IRT) sector, employs more than 57,000 scientific and technical staff, including from independent research and technology organizations, public sector research establishments, national laboratories, university technology transfer offices and private innovation companies.

OGTC, which has been a member of AIRTO since 2016, hopes to build closer links with allied IRT organizations to help develop and deploy technology accelerating the transition to a net zero North Sea.
