Offtake agreement signed for North Sea Project Greensand

INEOS has signed an agreement to store up to 210,000 metric tons/year of CO2 emitted by Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme at the Project Greensand subsurface storage site.

In Sweden, INEOS has signed an agreement to store up to 210,000 metric tons/year of CO2 emitted by Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme at the Project Greensand subsurface storage site in the Danish North Sea.

First volumes are set to be stored from 2028. INEOS is leading the development, in partnership with Harbour Energy and Nordsøfonden. Greensand will receive emitted CO2 industrial customers in various European countries.
