Vår Energi awarded Aker Solutions a five-year maintenance and modifications service contract on Dec. 20 for the Jotun, Balder and Ringhorne field production facilities in the southern Norwegian North Sea.

There is an option for the agreement, which takes effect in January, to be extended by three further two-year periods.

Aker Solutions has been supporting operations at these fields for more than two decades. It will manage the new award from its offices in Stavanger, with fabrication performed at the company's yard in Egersund.
